Take Away Homework

For the remainder of this academic year we are going to be trialling a new system for homework.
Your child should have brought home a copy of 'Take Away Homework' but just in case, you can download a copy of this term's homework.

Children are expected to complete a minimum of 3 pieces over each half term (preferably from different subject areas). The Peri-ometer suggests the difficulty or challenge the homework may offer.
Children should attempt at least one ‘EXTRA HOT’ task!
It is hoped that children will enjoy picking their own level of challenge; this may motivate them to complete more than the minimum!

We would encourage you to work with your child as they produce their homework.

Take Away Homework is in addition to regular reading, any spellings, learning of times tables, and use of maths programs such as Xtramath and Sumdog.

Additional homework may be set throughout the term depending on what is happening in school, - this will be published on this blog

  2. Homework was set in May (22nd) and could have been done at any time since. The 16th/17th/18th/19th July are the last dates for handing in homework.via Edmodo as it is the end of the school year. The expectation was for at least 3 to be completed during the half term.
