Archery by George

Year 5 have been learning how to use a bow and arrow in archery in the hall every Wednesday. There are two year groups, Mr Ball`s class and Mrs Cunningham`s class. Mr Ball`s class goes first and then Mrs Cunningham`s class goes next.
To do archery you need to; keep your back straight, pull your three middle fingers to the end of your lip 1 cm under the bow and keep the end of the bow either to the floor or at the target.
There are 3 different zones; the safety zone, the slow motion zone and the danger zone. Never enter the danger zone if someone is holding a bow and arrow or if there is a bow and arrow loaded anywhere even if it is on the floor.
At the start everyone gets 2 practice shots each and then we play a game with 1 shot each, It was  really fun. Depending which colour you get you get a different score for each one, white: 10  yellow: 20  blue: 30  red: 40  gold: 50.
